Job Profile Summary
As a Technology Product Owner Senior Specialist, you thrive on enabling technical capability teams to develop and operate capabilities, applications and platforms, prioritising the teams backlogs to deliver measurable value to the business and operational efficiency.
You authentically engage with and effectively influence a diverse stakeholder landscape within NIT and across Telstra, to drive realistic and ambitious operational and customer outcomes.
The Technology Product Owner (TPO) will lead a team of DevOps engineers at Telstra's Innovation Capability Centre (ICC) in Bengaluru in the domain of Identity, covering customer Identity authentication platforms.
The team will manage legacy identity applications while enhancing and operating the strategic identity application and driving the transition from old to new.
The TPO role does not involve formal people management but is required to set the strategic direction, prioritise the backlog, and lead the team to execute.
The role will work with stakeholders in India and Australia, with capability direction and people management from Australia.
Skillets to be Successful in this Role :
The successful candidate will have a minimum 5- 6-years experience in Identity, preferably in a telecommunications environment.
Experience with the Ping, Daon, Oracle Customer Identity platforms and Amazon Web Services will be an advantage.
The individual will be responsible to lead teams that undertake software build and production support (DevOps) team members.
Be part of the large team that works across multiple locations in Australia and India.
Participate in quarterly planning for objectives and resources.

This is how you will bring the purpose of your role to life:
Act as the overarching technical product owner within the Group, partner with Engineering and collaborate with users, stakeholders and product owners across Telstra to align your technical capability vision with the Group and Telstra s strategic priorities, so that it drives and continually improves modular, reusable technical capabilities and components.
Actively manage the end-to-end development, delivery, execution, integration requirements and lifecycle management and optimisation of technology products and services to enable risks, issues, dependencies, timeline and costs to be managed.
Collaborate with the team, stakeholders and mission product owners to discover usability concerns and functional gaps and generating insights that uncover feature enhancement solutions.
Lead the definition, management and scheduling of work to manage the operational lifecycle of the technical capability and applications, including support, maintenance and capacity planning.
Partner with engineering in the deployment and execution of operational and business acceptance activity, including managing post-deployment issues from root cause analysis through to resolution.
Lead the identification and management of unit cost reduction opportunities, including managing any technology vendors design, development, delivery and operation, to continuously improve productivity and cost to operate.
Collaborate to shape and influence a culture of transparency by producing data to demonstrate and track delivery achievements and concerns, operational performance and health, and providing input to the wider team for capability performance, growth and learning.
Develop and champion business cases and funding bids to enable the team to maintain operational performance and deliver their work, and ensure the team operates within its budget constraints.
Foster a culture of collective ownership and accountability for the work completed within the team and assist the team to implement effective fit for purpose development and operational practices.
