Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements new interface components in collaboration with the product owner and other Micro Focus development teams.
- Enhances existing components with new capabilities whilst maintaining compatibility.
- Maintains the existing components and resolves problem reported by customers.
- Provide feedback on test plans, test cases, and test methodologies.
- Writes and executes unit tests for assigned portion of application
Research new technologies for feature improvements - Leads a project team of other software application engineers to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor?s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 3 to 5.5 years of software development experience building large scale and highly distributed application
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Designing software applications running on multiple platform types.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to adapt to new tools technologies
- Experience in building large scale and highly distributed applications
- Experience in building applications on top of Windows and Linux platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development with experience driving product backlogs, as well as actively leading an Agile Scrum team.
- Technical Skills
- 3 to 5.5 years with Object Oriented Design and development using C++
- Hands on Experience in Windows and MAC OS development
Desired Skills
- Java, Objective C
- Mobile development (Android/iOS)
- Cloud technologies (like AWS, Google etc), Microservices
- Big Data Technologies (Hadoop/Hbase, Phoenix, etc), Database (PostgreSQL)
- Experience in Linux development
