- For its R&D centre in Hyderabad, UTC HVAC (Carrier) is looking for an AWS lead engineer.
YOU ARE EXPECTED TO
- Design, build and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools for Enterprise deployments.
- Design and develop the automation to validate the builds in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with scale/performance and operability in mind
- Meet project plans for the project; prioritizing work to accomplish demanding changes.
- Manage multiple releases of the products.
- Co-ordinate and work in global team environment.
- Stay abreast of technology developments and their potential impact and opportunities on the organization.
- Proactively identify, recommend, and implement improvement to the release engineering process.
- Contribute to software engineering teams and demonstrate strong software engineering and process improvement.
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge in distributed release management strategies spanning across geographies.
- Apply your expertise in continuous-integration and continuous-deployment models.
- Be aware of Agile, Incremental or spiral development methodology.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA
* Must have 7-10 years related experience in DevOps engineering activities.
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- You should have experience in implementing CI/CD pipeline for on-prem applications and Cloud applications.
- You should have experience with scripting language such as PowerShell/Python. Any other programming language experience is a plus.
- You should have experience in setting up build and deployment pipelines using tools such as Octopus deploy, VSTS,AzureDevops, Jenkins
- You should have experience with GitHub, TeamCityJenkins
- You should have experience in Linux & Windows administration.
- You should have have experience in Kubernetes, EKS, AWS, Docker, Nutanix, VMWare.
- You should have knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
- You should be able to manage infrastructure like creation & maintenance of resource groups on Azure or AWS cloud.
- You should be able to develop scripts to create cloud resources through automated scripts / ARM templates.
- You should have experience in integrating white sourcing & static code analysis tools in CI pipeline.
- You should have experience in creating & maintaining build server, support for periodic release.
- You should have a strong understanding of deployment to cloud IaaS, PaaS models.
- You should have the ability of resource creation, auto scaling, DR, application monitoring, VM creation, Dockers/ containers.
- You should have experience in application migration from Azure to AWS or vice versa will be an advantage.
- You should have a strong understanding of code branching, merging, versioning. Build versioning.
- You should have experience in LDAP / SAML integration with tool chains likeGit Hub / Jenkins/ VSTS.
- You should have experience in Linux, Shell Scripting.
- You should be able to diagnose the reports from cloud application monitoring and support the application developer in root cause analysis.
- You should be able to manage/ Map DNS, Certificate management.
- You should have a strong understanding of Azure/ AWS pricing mechanism, monitor and report the resource consumption on regular basis.
SALARY AND JOINING
The position will pay quite well - Rs. 18-23 lakhs per annum is the band, and the final amount may be even higher depending on your experience and expertise.

NOTE
