Job Description

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree with 8+ years of software development experience
- Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, Spring, Microservices
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
- Working experience with Enterprise Java development, NoSql data platforms (Cassandra), Pub/sub messaging (Kafka, AMPS, Qpid etc), Stream processing (Storm, Spark Streaming, etc). Experience designing, developing, deploying Cloud stacks like Cloud Foundry, AWS OR Azure an added advantage
- Expertise working with Big Data eco system in a large scale, architectures and implementation - Splunk, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc. Experience in middle-tier/backend systems development in Java, Big Data, RDBMS, ETL and Data warehousing with Linux environments.
- Experienced with Instrumenting Logging, and Metrics/Monitoring using tools like Splunk, Logstash or flume. Experience with Dockers, CI/CD, Jenkins, DevOps an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with data architecture, data modeling, database design and data warehousing. Experience with traditional RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL and/or PostgresSQL and query optimization.,
