Job Description

Product - has a strong understanding of what differentiates Infrastructure and Storage Management products in the market and focuses on innovations that helps deliver products with high quality on schedule
Process - embraces 'agile' methodologies to deliver product updates and releases often and with quality. Has a strong understanding of Cost of Quality and puts in processes to 'shift-left' defects
Minimum Requirements for this role are
- Accountable for on-time execution and high quality product releases for the Storage Manageability product(s)
- Accountable to define and execute on software Test plans and lead the agile process implementation
- Provide direct and hands-on leadership to the team to develop efficient and scalable solutions (Test Architecture and Test Implementation) for the various releases
- Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for ongoing projects, ensuring that people are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with project and program roadmaps.
- Active collaboration with product management, s/w development teams and other eco system partners
- Helping to foster the culture of creativity and excellence through technical innovations, attention to quality and professionalism
- Lead a large size product R&D team with experienced engineers & Test Architects
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities
- Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.
Other requirements:
- Solid understanding of software Test best practices, including verification strategies for scaled out architectures
- Proven experience in leading Product Test teams
- Ability to look from market/customer perspective, articulate the value proposition of the solution, including to the internal work force
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution
- Proven track record in working across multiple geographies and cultures
- Well versed with Agile development process and should able to drive high standards towards quality of products being delivered .Should be able to handle ambiguity and provide meaningful direction to the team
Education and Experience Required
- BE/MS in Computer Science from leading engineering institutions in India/abroad. Graduates/PGs of tier1 institutions preferred.
- Formal qualifications in people and enterprise management preferred
14 to 16 years of total experience with 3+ years of experience in managing software product test with a team size of 12 or more
