Job Description

The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.

Card Services and Enterprise Systems DBAs support applications across all lines of business (Auto/Education, Business Banking, Card Services, Centralized Transactions Operations, Commercial Banking, Consumer Bank, Consumer Internet Group, Credit Risk, Finance, Home Lending, Investment Bank, Treasury & Securities Services, Wealth Management).

The Database Management Analyst is responsible for the following:

• Implement data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.

• Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other data issues.

• Work with other Information Architects and Database Designers to implement the physical data model.

• Develop the database performance monitoring process and analyze data for optimization opportunities.

• Manage on-site backup and recovery process.

• Plan for and execute required database upgrades or migrations.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience with Database Administration

• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience as a Mainframe IMS database Administrator , DB2, Java & USS (Unix Administrator)

• Solid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures

• Strong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery procedures

• Solid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of problem on overall database performance

• Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes

• Solid skills with one or more programming language and design technique

• GOOD TO HAVE EXTRA SKILLS :

• Basic understanding of Unix Shell

• Moderate understanding of USS on mainframe z/OS

• Unix security and security group understanding

• Basic networking and cipher knowledge on Unix

• Understanding of Abinitio Graph Development
