Senior Software Engineer @ United Health Group

Job Description

- Design and develop software applications and application components in an agile environment - Integrate and implement custom created applications with commercial and open source software - Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/code reviews and developing automated test cases - Work with geographically distributed teams, with ample opportunity to learn from and mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment - Play a key role in the future of software products by working closely with product management and other stakeholders to aid solution development Must Haves: - Education: Bachelor's Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience - 5+ years of professional work experience - Experience developing scalable and performant applications using Ruby - Extensive hands-on experience developing web applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript/JQuery - Experience designing and developing database applications using SQL Even Better: - Knowledge of a server-side development language such as Java or C# - Experience in banking/financial/healthcare domain - Software design experience using object-oriented patterns, SOLID, and other development principles - Flexibility to work across a variety of software-related disciplines: solution design, agile development, unit testing, - Refactoring, and build/deployment automation ,
