Lead Software Engineer - Java @ United Health Group

Job Description

Hands-on experience with software architecture, applications development life cycle and project management of web based applications
8+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications using Java.
IOC using Spring experience using both XML and annotation driven context configuration
Micro / Web Service development experience
SQL and Database development
Working with JEE application servers
Use of Java IDE (IntelliJ/Eclipse) with debugger experience
Understanding and practical implementation of common OO design patterns
Base understanding of web protocols like HTTP, FTP, TELNET, SFTP
Base understanding of encryption using TLS or SSL
Base understanding of core unix commands for managing file systems and processes
Understanding and implementation experience on any Java Unit testing frameworks like Mockito etc
Strong Maven experience with some exposure to Jenkins and other DevOps CI environments
Past experience in building a software product from the ground-up to live production.
Hands-on experience with software architecture, applications development life cycle and project management of web based applications.
Experience building scalable, commercial web applications
Past success in continuous integration and test-driven development.
Experience in code optimization and performance tuning.
Ability to act as an architect to lead the team to build new, innovative solutions.
Successful track record of delivering multiple releases within a year and in an agile environment.
Experience working in highly interactive partnership with product management team.
Experience in designing and developing database applications using SQL.
Experienced all phases of a Software Development Life Cycle. - Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
