Senior Software Engineer @ United Health Group

Job Description

Hands-on experience with software architecture, applications development life cycle and project management of web based applications
Past success in continuous integration and test-driven development
5+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications preferably using Java.
IOC using Spring experience using both XML.
Micro / Web Service development experience
XML and JSON development experience
SQL and Database development using myBatis experience
JBoss application server and configuration or comparable J2ee experience
Use of Java IDE (IntelliJ) with debugger experience
Base understanding of, and practical implementation of common OO design patterns
Base understanding of web protocols like HTTP, FTP, TELNET, SFTP
Base understanding of encryption using TLS or SSL
Base understanding of core unix commands for managing file systems and processes
Understanding and implementation experience on any Java Unit testing frameworks like Mockito etc
Strong Maven experience with some exposure to Jenkins and other DevOps CI environments
Expertise Needed:
- Strong problem solving, analytical and logical skills
- Very good communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Agile development practices
- Healthcare domain knowledge
- Experience in automated build /deploy and test environments
- Software design experience using Object Oriented patterns
- Experience working with multi-shore teams
