Job Description
Role:
As part of the Sapiens Digital R&D group, you will work within a small and elite team, a startup like group within Sapiens, you will own the architecture and design and implementation of a new digital product. Having overall responsibility for building the core capabilities of the new product while participate in hands on coding 80% of your time. In addition, as a Tech lead will mentor other team members with up-to-date technology and engineering best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Playing a vital role in product design to ensure scalability, reliability and performance are met
- Designing and developing new features as well as maintaining existing features by adding improvements and fixing defects in complex areas.
- Assisting in troubleshooting complex technical problems in development and production
- Collaborating with stakeholders (Product managers, Engineering teams, UX) to evaluate trade-offs between design, risk, and technology
- Mentoring fellow engineers; Provide technical guidance while driving decisions; leading teams to solve challenging programming and design problems.
- Implementing methodologies, processes & tools
- Ability to meet aggressive timelines and motivate the team to meet the product deadlines.
- Responsible for code design, quality and implementation per Sapiens standards.
Requirements:
- Great team player, innovator at heart with an excellent interpersonal skill who is passionate about technology, have a strong interest in the latest technologies - mandatory
- B.Sc. in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent
- More than 8 years of hands-on experience with software development mandatory
- Experience and passion for modern JS full stack web development technologies, methodologies, and techniques React /Vue.js Redux / Mobx, Node.js, Webpack / Parcel, Jest / Jasmine / Mocha, CSS Modules / Styled Components, etc. mandatory
- Wide knowledge of REST API , design bet practices - mandatory
- Open source technologies and frameworks
- Public cloud experience (Amazon, Azure, Google) - mandatory
- Previous SW architecture experience - mandatory
- In depth understanding of various technology trends and the ability to present their potential impact - advantage
- Knowledge in modern architectural methods and patterns such as Microservice Architecture, Cloud Computing and Containers (Kubernetes, Docker) mandatory
- Knowledge of operating systems and platforms such as Windows, Linux, iOS, Android an advantage
- Knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks- advantage
- Team leadership experience big advantage
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals
- Experience working in an Agile environment preferred
- Agile / SCRUM Certification is a plus!
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Fluent English, excellent communication skills
- Open and willing to travel when needed
