Job Description
- Assist in the build-out and maintenance of test automation frameworks for web, server side and mobile technologies
- Build and maintain automation scripts
- Perform both manual and automation tests on web based applications and services
- Engage in project planning to identify test automation opportunities and promote its usage
- Build black and white box test automation that is effective, fast, robust, and maintainable using tools such as Selenium Web Driver
- Participate in product and feature design with developers, usability specialists, user interface designers, and product managers
- Work to reduce product bugs through better tooling, monitoring, and automation
- Partner with software development engineers and test engineers to help devise automation and test strategies including test case development to drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies (TDD, BDD, ATDD)
- Analyze requirements, develop test plan strategies, create and execute test cases, track defects
- Develop easy-to-use test tools to assist developers and manual test engineers
- Build platforms (test, monitoring, build, configuration management, etc) to help the organization scale the development process
- Work cross functionally in an Agile/Scrum environment alongside Development and Product Management to deliver high quality solutions
Job Specification:
- Minimum 2+ years of software engineering experience, demonstrating experience in scalable software design and development with a proven track record of technical achievements
- Experience with Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) in test script/framework automation using open source tool Cucumber
- Proven knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ability to automate backend systems
- Experience developing automation frameworks with tool Selenium Web driver
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous deployment
- Experience with quality engineering in a web based environment
