Ideal Candidate:
- Overall 5-8 years of experience.
- 3+ years of relevant experience -System administration with sound knowledge in Unix based Operating System internals.
- 2+ years of experience - DevOps in general like CICD Jenkinsautomation (puppetchef) git
- 2+ years of experience - Managing AWS infrastructure (automation, deployment, monitoring, handling security)
- Practical experience in either deploying web applications or Data pipelines over AWS using services like cloudformation Terraform along with AWS CodePipeline.
- Should have hands on exposure to AWS services like CloudWatchCloudTrail and integrations with ecosystem.
- Good to have exposure to security services GuardDutyInspectorShieldWAF.
- Good to have experience working with AWS Organizations and setting up ITIL mechanism using Service Catalog.
- Should have maintained DevQAProd deployment structures with AWS best practices.
- Linux experience (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience in supporting git environment and deployment planning
- Ability to design the structure, plan the capacity, performance fine-tune, monitor the components of the deployment pipeline.
- Ability to closely work with the infrastructure, networking, development teams to ensure the timely deliverable.
- Linux tuning - understands kernel parameters tuning and tweaking them.
- Strong scripting background (shellbash, python etc.)- automation, configuration management.
- Develop and document best practices.
- Ability to perform Backup and Recovery as applicable.
- The interest, ability, curiosity to think and automate everything in a repeatable fashion with least amount of manual work involved.
- Good to have - exposure to Big Data pipelines using Hadoop cluster and administration.
- Strong analytical skills and Get it done attitude.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision making skills.
- Exposure to the big data tools to be able to perform investigation, root cause analysis and providing a solution.
- Product support & troubleshooting.
- Exposed to Agile practices and ability to plan out a small project.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in all planned training.
- Work on escalated tickets.
- Provide 24 7 support to client pipelinesworkloads (could be on-call roster).
- Participate in creation of weeklymonthlyquarterly client infrastructure health reports.
- Actively work with client in planning and implementing maintenance activities.
- Keep all the related documentation of the assigned clusters up to date.
- Ensure meeting of Clairvoyant standards while providing the best customer service.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior administrators.
- Attending client meetings as and when required (could be in the evening hours).
- Mentoring the junior members of the team.
- Participate in planning meetings.
- Work as SPOC for some of the clients.
Job Description:
- Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of AWS infrastructure as part of our global Managed Services group.
- Work closely with India and the US team with some overlap hours. Manage the backup and disaster recovery for data.
- Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business teams to guarantee high data quality and availability.
- Coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) efforts to minimize future system issues. Provide off hours support on a rotational basis. Assist with Develop and maintain the system runbooks.
- Create and publish various production metrics including system performance and reliability information to systems owners and management.
- Work with Big data developers and developers designing scalable supportable infrastructure. Perform duties as needed within the engineering team.
