MOTIF Database Developer @ Barclays

Job Description

1. Analysis and development of database work related to on-boarding work

2. Participate in various calls at times later in the day

3. Agree/negotiate scope of change

4. Work with QA teams to facilitate sign offs

5. Join UAT calls

6. Provide support on technical analysis and also share results. Provide suggestion on Design changes and help implement them.

7. Partner with the PCIT and IB Design Authority for tech related topics, and imbibe them into the deliverables.

8. Provide knowledge transfer and mentor junior members of the team.

9. Participate in hiring

What we re looking for:

1. Able to analyse requirements, provide estimates, develop performant database code in time

2. Negotiate with stakeholders about timelines and scope

3. Able to represent code changes impact to technical team

4. Able Participate on production calls and help to resolve

5. Able to support issues during releases

Skills that will help you in the role:

Good understanding of investment banking, and the industry sector

Good understanding of front to back finance and operational process flows

Understanding of Agile SDLC concepts; Understanding of Scrum/Kanban Agile SDLC methodology
