Job Description

  • PostgreSQL to Oracle (vice versa)/SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2019 database development & migration skills.
  • SQL Development- experience in creating database architecture with associated schema as part of a software design process On-premise and cloud (Azure/Aws)
  • Experience with developing for Microsoft SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Views, Scalar-Valued & Table-Valued Functions)
  • Ability to perform hands-on query optimization, data analysis, and database tuning
  • Experience programming SQL batch environment utilizing large tables and high transaction throughput requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching. Familiarity with windows server, security delegation, storage components. Advanced DMV knowledge
  • Excellent database design experience for transactional and reporting applications
  • Manage database migrations and platform upgrades to cloud (Azure/AWS)
  • Database Replication Design / Implementation / Maintenance
  • Database Mirroring/Clustering/Log Shipping.
  • Database Disaster Recovery Implementation / Maintenance / Capabilities
  • Database Resource Capacity Planning / Management Design / Implementations
  • Design and document database architecture & Data Modeling
  • Experience with performance optimization and tuning with database applications is a MUST
  • Should have excellent written and verbal communication and customer presentation skills
  • Client facing and thinking strategically from clients perspective to deploy correct solutions
  • Creation of Dashboards and experience in migration is desirable

  • Certification in Azure/AWS cloud technologies- preferred
