Job Description

Developer - Required Technical Skills
Ability to design and develop near real-time data acquisition systems using relevant
technologies (C/C++) on Linux platforms.
Solid understanding of Operating System (Windows/Linux), data structures, algorithms,
data analytics, security, mobile, and cloud technologies (Azure / AWS).
Expert level understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, HTTP,
CDN, VPN, IPv4/6, routing, network troubleshooting, Open Systems Interconnection
Reference Model (RM-OSI).
Deep understanding of communication protocols and standards especially the ones used
in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) such as NTCIP, SAE, NEMA, EIA, AASHTO, ASTM,
ION
Familiarity with IoT protocols and interface standards
In-depth programming knowledge in implementing hardware interfaces, I/O operations,
exception handling, file processing.
Ability to perform engineering evaluations and testing of hardware and software
components, products and systems.
Ability to prepare detailed software design specification and Interface Control Document
(ICD) which will be used for system implementation.
Ability to apply statistical, analytical and modeling techniques to build engineering
solutions.
Ability to design and manage high volume databases and program data access
applications.
Expert level knowledge on use of local and cloud-based services such as Web Services
(SOAP), Web API (RESTful), Cloud Storage, Authentication, Azure/AWS service APIs, and
SDKs to write applications.
Good experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash etc.
Experience with DSRC systems is a plus (Dedicated Short-Range Communications)
