Job Description
Job Overview
- Responsible for leading a team of CAD Designers and Technical Leaders to deliver high quality projects on time
- To be effective in this role, you must be strong technically, with high organizational skills, good business understanding, and persuasive communication skills
- The role requires high level of interaction with the overseas clients, particularly in USA.
Team Management
- Performance monitoring and optimum utilization of resources
- Guides and mentors the team as SME in CAD / Solar
- Conducting Technical and Project specific Trainings
- Maintaining team moral and managing attrition
- Be hands-on and lead the team showing technical expertise on CAD / Solar project
Delivery Management
- Monitors and manages project performance, scope, quality, risks and schedule for all assigned projects
- Prepares and maintains detailed project schedules
- Prepares progress reports on a daily, weekly or as per need basis
- Validates, updates and maintains all project documents
Client Interaction
- Regular Interaction with clients to understand the requirements and ensures highest level of client satisfaction
- Exceptional skills in E-Mail communication and use of other tools i.e. Conference/ Video call
Process management
- Should be able to define production process and ensure adherence to the same.
- Should be able to create processes i.e. use of checklist to control consistent quality and process adherence.
- Should be able to maintain quality and suggest actions for quality improvement
Interdepartmental coordination
- Supports account management and does effective client engagement
- Coordinates with HR in the process of hiring and building the project team
- Coordinates with finance and billing team
Required Skill:
- PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is desired. Willingness to obtain PMP certification is required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Managed a team size of at least 15+ members
- B. Tech. Electrical/ Civil
- Any exposure to Solar Design would highly preferred
Required Experience:
- Overall 7 to 12 years of experience in CAD and Engineering services industry
- At least 2 years direct work experience in project/ team lead capacity
- Experience in making presentations to different stake holders
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook,
- Managing Email communication
