Profile: Sr. Data Engineer

Location: MIDC, Pune

Roles and Responsibilities

• Creating, improving and maintaining of our data pipeline architecture to create complex datasets. Implement and oversee quality metrices to ensure and preserve the business value
• Proposing technical concepts to handle and process data generated internally and externally enabling advanced analytics and new products
• Continuously look for improvements, increased scalability and automation of manual processes to accelerate consolidation and insight generation for hundreds data sets.
• Making sure data is separated, secured and meeting local as well as international data security and privacy standards
• Close collaboration with data scientists and analysts to build products and to grow our customer base.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years hands-on experience with building and optimizing reliable, scalable, mission critical data pipelines in a production environment.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in SQL and relational as well as non-relational data bases
• Personal must-haves: analytic mind, achievement orientation, sense of quality, flexible thinking and good communication skills. Self-driven team player with entrepreneurial touch and a passion for good software engineering and automation.
• Profound knowledge and experience with Python, Java / JEE or any other object-oriented programming language.
• Should able to gain insight into and experience with
• Big data technologies like: Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka
• Cloud services for data processing: Azure
• Stream orientated processing: Spark-Streaming

• Experience with as many as possible of the following: design patterns, ETL principles and best practises, interface contracts and interface stability, design and programming by contract, variant management
