Role Summary/Purpose:

The Data Science Engineer has the responsibility to analyze the data from grid and industrial service applications by applying statistical, algorithmic, data mining and machine learning techniques and develop performance models, support post-event analysis and enable outcome-based services.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop service-specific data models by collaborating with subject matter experts and integrate them into the Service Platform architecture

  • Analyze datasets obtained from service applications and provide context-specific insights to solve a field issue or to realize an outcome for the customer
  • Support subject matter experts in improving the algorithms by complementing physics-based models with data-oriented techniques
  • Propose improvements to Grid Automation (GA) products and platforms to enable for data-oriented services
  • Design experiments to validate findings or test hypothesis in troubleshooting field issues
  • Collaborate with system architects to design appropriate data management components
  • Collaborate with customers and support them in their Digitalization initiatives by helping them adapt new technologies like IoT, Data Analytics, etc.
  • Stay current with industry and technology trends
  • Understand competitors offerings, industry trends, customers behavior
  • Contribute in developing new business models based on outcomes for customers

Education:

UG:   B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization, Computers

PG:  M.Tech - Any Specialization, Computers, MCA - Computers, MS/M.Sc(Science) - Computers

Doctorate:  Doctorate Not Required
