Job Description
Database Architect JD:
- 8 - 10 years of experience in RDMS databases like MySQL, SQL Server
- 5 years of experience of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Graph databases (Neo4j), cosmos db, cassandra
- Expert in data modeling and designing database objects for applications. Extensive experience with database design (e.g. SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Cassandra, FoundationDB, Postgres) techniques of scalability, efficiency, and tuning
- Design new databases to securely store data, then maintain those databases to ensure that data remains safe and accessible
- Experience in SQL and/or PL/SQL or MYSQL or graph or cipher queries.
- Experience with ETL and data warehouses
- Expert with entity-relationship diagrams
- Experience with database Cluster, Replication, Log Shipping for HA/DR.
- Strong experience in Azure MySQL database
- Expert level of database installation/configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking/tuning, back-up/recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience in large and very dynamic environments.
- Experience in working SOX controlled environment, change control, and validated systems.
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience/exposure in Microsoft Reporting Services Technologies.
- Experience with building Data warehouse, and data marts.
- Experience in Implementing Enterprise architecture principles for databases.
- Experience in Open source, Big Data & Clustering
- Experience in Cloud computing or experience with hosting databases in the Cloud, including archival of large amounts of data
- Willingness to learn and Positive 'can do' attitude is a must.
- Mentor and provide technical support to all team members across various projects.
- Ability to match technological strategies and investments precisely with company priorities and to scale technical initiatives
- Knowledge and leadership on CI / CD pipeline integration
- Experience working with other DevOps technical teams and responsibility for deploying applications for delivery, performance, monitoring and reliability
- Clear container experience (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management systems, CI building tools like Jenkins, and application logging and monitoring
- Dedicated problem solver who can take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment, deal quickly with team problems and balance multiple, fast release cycles
- Possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with an attitude of collaboration
