Summary of the Role (VMware Engineer) :

This position demands analyze, design, configure, deploy, test, maintain and administer VMware and related computing environments, services and all configurations.

Main Responsibilities :

- High level experience with hypervisor and compute virtualization technologies (VMware Vsphere Suite )

- Experience in Architecture, Design, and Implementation of highly scalable, highly available services & solutions

- Experience in Troubleshooting ESXi and vcenter Appliance, VM.

- Must have expertise knowledge on PowerShell/PowerCli scripting.

- Extensive experience in vCOps/vROps/vRLI

- Expert Knowledge on VMware ESXi patching, VUM, baselines, host profiles management.

- Strong knowledge on CI management tools like Ansible

- Experience with VMware vSphere 6.x

- Strong knowledgeon managing x86 hardware's with help of XClarity / OneView.

- Strong knowledge on Security Standards and VMware Hardening concepts.

- Should have strong knowledge on TLS customization and implementation.

- Execute migrations and implementations plans and support VMWare changes.

- Coordinating with Vendors & Stakeholders for all VMWare related issues.

Skills & Knowledge - Technical / Functional and Managerial :

- Strong knowledge on Server platforms: HP ProLiant, Lenovo Flex Systems, Dell and IBM server infrastructure.

- Should be able to create, customize and execute VMware best practices.

- Knowledge on OS platforms: Windows and Linux.

- Basic understanding on VSAN, SRM, Backup & DR solutions.

- Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL frameworks Change Management, Incident and Problem Management.

- Certification Preferred: VCP5/6, ITILv3, and having VCAP5/6 &CCNA certification is an advantage.

UG:   B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization, Any Graduate - Any Specialization

PG:  Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization

Doctorate:  Doctorate Not Required
