Desired Candidate Profile
Role Summary/Purpose:Responsible for defining fit for purpose technical product requirements in line with customer needs and evolution of industry standards. Acts as product owner in an agile development environment prioritizing product requirements passionate about delivering most impacting customer value features to market at all times including product and customer issues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Be part of an agile development team that develops hardware, embedded and PC software based applications for substation and associated communications control equipment.
- Prepare detailed technical product requirements defining specific use cases, workflows and expected functionality from users perspective
- Work collaboratively with product validation teams to support implementation of test plans and test automation framework.
- Provide leadership by example and teamwork over multiple NPI project implementation and execution activities, as well as, all customer support and issues provided by R&D team.
- Lead definition of requirements for configuration tools for Intelligent Electronic Devices and Systems with focus on high productivity high volume workflows, to provide a premiere user experience
- Ensure external/internal customer requirements are logged and actionable by development teams (JIRA / Version 1 systems)
- Mentor test team members by constructive feedback, sharing of standard methodologies and experience
- Work collaboratively with hardware and software development leads, architects, business functional organizations and management to support all phases of New product Introduction (NPI) and Life Cycle Support (LCS) business activities and planning.
- Prepare content for technical instruction manuals, application notes, training material and technical documentation.
- Be current and at the forefront of new technologies, standards (IEC/IEEE) and strategies, examining opportunities for business improvement.
- Support commercial teams with preparation of tables of compliance that require technical expertise in application of GE SAS products.
- Analyze user specifications and requirements to recommend appropriate GE Grid Automation solutions and products for substation automation.
- Author technical papers and present materials at tradeshows and conferences for GE product

UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization
PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization
Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required
