Software Engineering Specialist - Pune @ Amdocs

• You will take ownership and accountability of specific modules within an application, provide technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, and perform problem resolution for critical / complex issues.
• You will ensure that code is maintainable, scalable and supportable.
• You will present demos of the software products to stakeholders and internal/external customers, using knowledge of the product/solution and technologies to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution.
• You will investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code and providing fixes (analyzing and fixing bugs) and workarounds, review changes to operability to maintain existing software solutions, highlight risks and help mitigate risks from technical aspects.
• You will bring continuous improvements/efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques, and reusing existing solutions. By means of automation, you will reduce design complexity, reduce time to response, and simplify the client/end-user experience.
• You will represent/lead discussions related to product / application / modules / team (for example, lead technical design reviews). You will need to build relationships with internal customers/stakeholders.

Education and IT Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree or MCA/MTech
Preferred: In Science/IT/Computers
7 to 9 Years of Software Development experience

Technical Skills:
Mandatory and Hands on experience in Java Programming: Core java
Mandatory to have knowledge of JEE
Should possess experience in some of the below
o Hands on JSP/Servlets
o Hands on experience in Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Context etc.
o Knowledge of developing and consuming Web services using XML, SOAP, and / or WSDL standards, REST interfaces/APIs and Microservices
o Hands on experience on Angular web framework - Angular 6
o Hands on programming experience on JavaScript, Hibernate, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JSON, XML
o Hands on experience of web/application servers - Tomcat, Weblogic etc.
o Hands on experience of Oracle database and PL/SQL programming.
Must have hands on experience Unix commands & Shell scripting.
Must be familiar with DevOps, CI/CD
Must have used any of the Git, Bitbucket, Jenkin

Good to have
Knowledge on Kubernetes, Dockers
Knowledge on Cloud Technologies

Professional/Domain Experience
Knowledge in OSS, NFV, SDN is preferred
