Job Description
Essential Functions Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative solutions using multiple DevOps tools and platforms.
- Manage a mix of platforms which include Kubernetes, AWS, and datacenter components.
- Migrate legacy applications and processes to leverage cloud services and CI/CD tools.
- Automate application deployments across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Staging, & Production) as part of Agile SDLC and following established team workflows.
- Proactively adopt new cloud infrastructure technologies and best practices to optimize management practices.
- Support backend database platforms and assist developers optimize database operations based on platform capabilities.
- Work with Development & Product teams to design operationally smart applications for deployment in cloud environments, focusing on performance, security and cost optimization.
- Leverage NOC and automated monitoring tools to respond to application alerts and other issues.
Desired Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- BE/ B.Tech/ MCA with 7+ year experience in devop/ software design/development/ operations.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining production systems in AWS using EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, and CloudFront.
- Ability to develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Minimum 1-2 year experience creating Docker image and orchestrating container deployments using Kubernetes.
- Minimum 1-2 year experience managing RDBMS and NoSQL database systems (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server or MongoDB) desired.
- Minimum 1-2 year experience managing enterprise authentication/authorization services like Active Directory, Okta, or Auth0 highly desired.
- Must have working knowledge to handle Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity in AWS.
- Scripting experience in Bash, Ruby, Python, PowerShell or similar languages.
- Experience with Source Control systems, such as GIT and SVN.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines programmatically with tools like Jenkins, CircleCI or TravisCI
- Working knowledge of DNS, network routing/subnetting, Monitoring, SSL Certificates, File Servers, Security, Performance, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery.
- Hands-on configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef or similar technologies.
- Must have experience with monitoring tools and APMs such as Nagios, LogicMonitor, New Relic, AppDynamic, DataDog or similar tooling
- Working knowledge of Splunk, ELK or other log management tools an added advantage.
- Extensive experience with Agile programming practices
- Strong communication and presentation skills is essential.
- Experience working in Oncall rotation and interacting with a NOC
