Job Description
Position Overview
The Cloud Platform Engineer Senior will report to the Cloud Engineering Senior Solutions Architect
You are responsible for
- Automating provision of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Build and configure cloud services including identity and access management, networking, storage, security, logging, monitoring, and external service integrations
- Follow best practices to ensure cloud solutions are highly available, resilient, secure and PCI compliant
- Work with distributed IT teams to configure networking, identity management and security services between the Diebold Nixdorf network and public cloud environments
- Build and maintain relationships to promote adoption of cloud solution standards and best practices across global software engineering teams
- Maintain deep hands on technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-related technologies, staying abreast of industry trends and developments
- Implementation of optimized cluster configuration of Docker and Kubernetes environment
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Experience of Unix CLI
- Understanding of application lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
- Overall experience in the range of 6 to 8 years with at least 3 years in a cloud environment
- Experience on Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Key Vault and Governance
- Cluster setup on Kubernetes
- Experience on API Gateway, HAProxy and NGINX
- Experience of IaaS as well as PaaS services on one of platforms (Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Rackspace etc.)
- Strong knowledge on Automation using Terraform & Ansible
- Integrate Identity management and modern applications authentication and authorization protocols such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0 using Azure Active Directory or any other identity provider
- Experience on Networking areas like DNS, TCP/IP, Routing and Firewalls Implemented Disaster Recovery strategy with strict SLAs
Preferred Qualifications
- Participate in the deployment of software into the test and development environment
- Work across product teams in multiple geographies, cross-functional and multi-cultural environments
- Exposure to enterprise development environments - both on premise and Azure cloud services
- Ability to lead change and demonstrate good time management with an ability to work on tight delivery deadlines
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
- Ability to handle & respond to technical queries / requests from team members and customers
- Experience with OpenShift Container Platform is a huge plus
- Experience with PCI compliance and HSM management is a plus
