Job Description
Should be willing to work in a startup.(Awesome exposure as you get to learn and experience a lot in a startup environment with great visibility and fast growth)
- Develop test plans, define and create test scenarios, execute test scripts, assess test results, and report defects as directed.
- Help move test cases from manual execution to automation
- Work with software development teams as needed to develop and better integrate automated testing tools and test harnesses as required.
- Work with software engineers as needed to identify and resolve defects.
- Other responsibilities assigned based upon business need.
- Experience/exposure of devops is a plus
- Architect and build test frameworks, create automated testing scripts and validate API interactions between systems
- Executes regular tests and reviews results continually to ensure that requirements and objectives are met, itemizing tasks which can be optimized to make the most beneficial use of valuable resources
- Execute tests, track and log issues and drive them till resolution with verification of bug fixes
- Participate in multi-functional and cross-BU test efforts
- General mobile application quality assurance
- Mobile automation testing
- Cross-platform testing
- Device-specific validation
- Performance/usability/security testing experience is a plus
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have experience in creating test automation frameworks instituting a testing-driven software development philosophy and data-driven performance results evaluations.
- Expertise testing responsive design UI/UX web applications on multiple commonly used device types
- Experience tracking use cases and data flows through multiple highly complex inter-connected systems
- Strong experience using automated test tools such as Selenium
- Mastery of developing test automation for both internal and external APIs and web services using HTTP/HTTPS, JSON and XML
- Passion for reviewing user activity data to identify potential frustrations for users and championing the necessary product improvements
- Driven to improve the current state of products through the development or integration of identified innovations
- Ability to work independently or with other developers, engineers, product owners and senior level stakeholders to meet timelines/plans
