Assistant Lead - Automation Testing @ Vodafone

Job Description

1.Take ownership of the product end to end quality through development and continuous improvement/update of test strategy, test plan and test cases as support to the development.

2.Optimize testing process by embedding automation in the software delivery pipeline according to industry best practices

3.Test software releases by executing assigned tests (manual and/or automated)

4.Report /Log Defects and chase resolution

5.Become familiar with the software under test and any other software related to it

6.Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems

7.Building on and improve existing product and service capabilities by adding new tools and techniques t o improve the quality of the products

8.Collaborate with testing experts community internally and externally to share experience and improve industry product and processes

Technical Skills Very good experience in testing web frontend and/or web backend domain

Technical Skills:

• Very good experience in API Testing.
• Excellent Knowledge & experience in Mobile Testing [Mobile APP Testing, Mobile Based Testing] .
• Knowledge in scripting (bash).
• Basic Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL DB.
• Knowledge in HTTP (header setting, response codes, ) [API Testing related]
• Process Skills Experience in Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enough experience in Java programming for test automation purpose.
• Familiar with tracing tools (Wireshark) and ability to assess both client and NW traces [Troubleshooting related].
• Process Skills- Experience with SIP and other IMS protocols. In particular RCS understanding would be a plus
• Experience in TDD.
• Hands-on experience on the tools- Eclipse IDE, Maven, Jenkins, git.
• Testing methodologies of black box, white box, system tests.
• Experience in Cloud environments (AWS).
• Experience on tracing extraction on devices [Mobile Testing related].
• Experience and Knowledge of Testing Manual and Automation frameworks (Selenium, Jmeter, Cucumber, Frisby, TestNG).
