As a RAN testing professional, you would be independent in analyzing the testing requirements, perform requirements review, preparing test scenarios test cases, run test cases report & follow up on defects.
Support test lead test manager in test planning activities. Able to participate and contribute to the project & technical calls. Has good written and oral communication Years of experience:
Hands on testing in RAN for 5 to 8 years
Knowledge & experience:
Skilled and experienced at executing 2G, 3G, 4GLTE RAN and VoLTE testing. Exposure to 5G is a plus
Working experience of RAN features Scheduling, Modulation and coding scheme, Admission and Congestion, ANR, DRX and Signalling Control, MIMO, Inter RAT and Intra RAT mobility, ROHC, TTI Bundling, Voice Characteristics awareness scheduling, Bandwidth estimation and Mesh
Good knowledge of Mission Critical QCIs
Good understanding of protocols (GSM GPRS UMTS LTE VoLTE SIP Diameter)
Handover testing, data and voice performance testing.
Working knowledge of tracing software such as XCAL and NEMO
Good understanding of Layer 2 & 3 messages, RRCRLC Layers
Experience of LTEPacket core Feature Testing Ideally from a lab testing environment
Good working knowledge of Core Network elements like SGSN, GGSN, MSC, Media Gateway, MME etc.
Good knowledge of Interface interconnection design S1-MME, S6a, SGi, Gx, S5S8 and Rx
Working knowledge of Viavi or other types of load generators
Ability to and experience in analysing and diagnosing main RF Issues like Dropped calls, Blocked calls, Poor coverage, Handover Failures, Interference, RACH failures etc.
Experience at all aspects of end-to-end testing, in all areas IMS calls (eNodeB, MME, SGW, PCR, SBG, CSCF, MTAS), simulating live defects, defect analysis and troubleshooting including the use of Wireshark
Good knowledge of Inter Chassis High availability
Experience with OSS Nokia platform and Huawei N2000 testing. (desirable)
Proficient in the use of ALM or HP Quality Control tool
Good knowledge of the Testing and Project lifecycle 18. Ability to influence test processes and technical aspects of RAN testing
Responsibility:
Responsible for providing inputs to the test plan, test specifications and scripts, test execution, defect management and the coordination of the environment design and deployment
Independent in analyzing the testing requirements, perform requirements review, preparing test scenarios test cases, run test cases report & follow up on defects
Maintain up to date test log covering defects, issues and concerns to be able to mitigate risks and issues
Taking accountability for the verification of new or modified systems or services introduced in the live environment as part of the handover to operations
Participate and contribute to the project & technical calls.
Possess good written and oral communication 6. Support Test manager in test planning activities
Support and mentor the team members in technical and non-technical areas including new technologies, processes etc. 8. Provide ideas for improvements and value adds Tools: RF RAN test equipment, Wireshark, xCAL, HPALM
Qualification:
BEBTechMCA or equivalent in Electronics & Communications, Telecommunications or equivalent
