Service Engineer 2 - Hyderabad / Secunderabad @ Microsoft

We are looking for thoughtful, analytical and high energy Engineers with a passion for Compute. These Engineers will be focused on working with enterprise customers to successfully deliver complex migration projects and drive future product enhancements based on customer feedback and learnings.

• You will partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan and deliver complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for internal customers.
• Manage existing on prem- compute infrastructure.
• You will work directly with customer application, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to define requirements, strategy, and processes for successful migrations.
• Provide direct feedback from customers to Azure product engineering teams to drive product improvements or escalate blocking issues.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest on Azure/Cloud innovations in order to conduct experiments, drive product improvement, and act as subject matter trainer for other specialists.
• Interact daily with other Engineers to provide technical action plans or take ownership of situations that require escalation.
• Share knowledge with others through solution documents, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions and create training.

Qualifications

Successful Candidate Competencies:

• Experience and knowledge of cloud infrastructure deployment and development tools (PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, Azure-CLI)
• Experience in one or more of the core Azure IaaS services (Windows Server on Azure, Linux on Azure, DC Migration and Disaster Recovery).
• Solid compute background and understanding of Hyper V, HCI, Stack.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance and management tooling and processes.
• Consulting and/or delivery experience for large end-to-end infrastructure migrations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively drive recommendations and land priorities across customers, partners across organizational boundaries.
• Dealing with ambiguity: must have the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple demands and shifting priorities.
• Collaboration: collaborate on complex multi-faceted programs

Desired Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on Azure specific solutions, and compute infrastructure.
• This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, cross-group collaboration skills and problem solving skills .
• Expert using PowerShell or similar scripting language
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to think beyond drive towards Automation
• Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast pace and ever-changing global environment
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
