Job Description
Role Overview:
- The Senior DevOps Engineer AWS expert will be working with the engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation.
- A key part of the role is championing and leading IAAS, PAAS SAAS services.
- You will help to build our next generation of web-based products and services while working closely with other talented Architects, Software, QA, and DevOps engineers.
- You ll provide leadership in the application of new technologies to large scale deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world-class customer experience.
- It s a hands-on technical role, responsible to build, manage and automate the AWS infrastructure, CICD pipeline and management components including monitoring, logging, test automation tools.
- This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position, and you ll work with thought-leaders in multiple technology areas.
- You ll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you ll be constantly looking for ways to improve our products performance, quality and cost.
- Functional responsibilities include security best practices, encryption, RBAC policies, storage configuration, tools support, upgrades, performance tuning, standardization, documentation, capacity planning, scaling automation and CI/CD integration. This role will report to DevOps Manager.
About the Role:
- You will be a part of a global team that build, deploy and maintain the services/infra that supports a billion dollor business in cloud on-prem environment
- Design, build, deploy and maintain cloud solutions using AWS
- Develop infrastructure requirement plans and execution plans
- Responsible for testing, deployments and measuring infrastructure health
- Learn, Design and Build cloud computing systems for a diverse set of product/services
- Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy, and compliant with security standards.
- Design and implement delivery/deployment systems using tools like Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes integrated with Harness, Team City, Artifactory, GITHub, Jira.
- Evaluate tools and technologies to improve the overall release process and bring in thought leadership
- You will support Cloud service measurement, monitoring, and reporting Improving overall operational quality through common practices and by working with different teams.
- You will provide technical support for daily operations and participate on our On-Call rotation
- Incident mgmt., RCA, identify corrective actions
About You:
- 10+ or more years of IT implementation experience
- Experience deploying systems and applications in an enterprise environment
- Experience writing code to automate the management of IT/Infrastructure services
- Strong DevOps Engineer, experience with Cloudformation/Terraform is a must on AWS
- Strong experience on Docker containers, AWS Elastic Container Service (AWS ECS), Fargate.
- Strong AWS skills in EC2, RDS, VPC, VPN, S3, API Gateways, Lambda, SES, Route53, ECS, AWS Batch.
- You have experience in SRE / DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, and Systems Engineering.
- You have experience defining and implementing highly resilient and reliable applications.
- You have a understanding of development, debugging, administration and automation frameworks: C#/.NET, PowerShell, Python, Ansible,
- You have experience with Monitoring, logging, APM other tools: AppD, ELK, Cloudwatch, NewRelic, MoogSoft, Solarwind.
- Experience with CI/CD tools: Git, Teamcity, Jenkin, Artifactory, Ansible, Harness, AWS deploy, Octopus, etc.
- Experience with container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud service offerings covering serverless and containerized workloads
- Good to have ITIL, HDI, AWS or any other Cloud certifications
- You have proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD tools and frameworks.
- In-depth experience with AWS Code Commit, AWS Code Deploy and AWS Code Pipeline, Ansible, Kubernetes, Harness, GitHub, Team City, Artifactory, GIT, Jira
- In-depth experience with Migration tools from on premise to AWS
- Good Experience With scripting languages like bash and python
- Knowledge of Agile SW methodology for Sprint and Kanban.
- Exposure to NOSQL DBs like DynamoDB, Cassandra
- Cloud cost estimation and optimization
- Good to have AWS certifications either in Architect, Developers, SysOps or DevOps AWS program.

- Ability to work some non-standard hours to support a global team and initiatives.
