Job Description
Urgent : New Product Development (Packaged Food) @ MumbaiOur client is Indian conglomerate in the Foods & Hospitality industry, of 7 decade standing , Foods business includes, multiple front runner brands & variants , fresh frozen fruits etc. The Hospitality segment includes Banquets, Hotels & Restaurants with presence in 190 cities / Towns with 725 + stores & one of the largest retail chain of India
Qualification & Experience
Incumbent should have suitable qualification in Food Science / Food Technology & can work with the in house chefs team to take products from the R&D stage to market
Should have about 6-10 years of experience in the Packaged Food both for the local markets & /or international markets
Job Profile
New Product Development & Standardization of commercial Formulations : Physical, Chemical, Microbiological standards for Finished Goods, raw Materials & Packaging Materials
Experience / Knowledge of Vegan Keto & Plant Based Products
In-depth knowledge of all the relevant health & safety standards both in Indian & International for packaged foods
Network of potential outsource manufacturing partners / production units who could be private label suppliers
Should be able to deploy various methodologies needed to the relevant manufacturing processes for new product development
Experience in handling various aspects of Manufacturing Operations including Quality Assurance, Production Planning, R&D, Vendor Development, Purchase & Supply Chain Management would be ideal
Experience in implementation of quality control activities like ISO 22000, BRC etc as relevant to the category/ market
Have a clear understanding of technology & trends with distinction of instituting new metrics / measurements for different functions in process operations;
The ability / experience to be able to verify & improve quality control procedures from the raw material stage till the finished product if needed
Contacts / Network in the food space to be able to reach out to the right agency / individual to Conduct research as per the current consumer markets & latest technologies for developing new product concepts if & where needed
An understanding of diff types of packaging & suitability to diff products vis retort / vacuum sealing / chilled/ frozen etc. & the ability to define Shelf Life Validation Protocols for packaged & Fresh Food Products
Ability to coordinate & Maintain healthy relations with various departments including official food inspection & hygiene agencies IF needed
Coordination with suppliers on quality issues
Offering support to the process & development while ensuring consistency & safety
Ability/ Experience to be able to look after after the production, quality control & technical aspects & involved in new product development with outsource partners / contract manufacture with.
