Job Description
Responsibilities
- Take accountability for all software testing related activities of the team
- Act as the test team s contact person with development team, management and other project stakeholders
- Work with stakeholders to obtain full clarity on product requirements and pass it on to the test team
- Manage test team work allocation, train and mentor the test team to progress tasks, resolve issues faced by the team and enable on time delivery by closely working with the team members
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on all things related to testing, including but not limited to testing concepts, test processes, test plans and test strategy, test tools and test automation.
- Review and approve test team members work and proactively raise the team test maturity levels by constant engagement
- Hold the test team to high quality expectations - adhere self and the test team to established processes in Rapiscan Hyderabad Quality Management System (QMS) for obtaining excellent quality outputs.
- Sense process improvement opportunities and proactively work with the management to upgrade QMS
- Manage 3 to 4 team members as Line Manager if necessary
- Perform as individual contributor for at least 60% to 70% of the time and produce test artifacts as other test engineers do in the team
- Keep abreast of the state-of-the-art in software testing by reading articles on the web, attending training courses, seminars and webinars, and proactive in introducing new processes, concepts, tools or technologies related to software testing
- Handle complex test automation and troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
- E/B.Tech in the disciplines of EEE/ECE/CSE or MCA degree or equivalent experience.
- Required at least 12 years of Software testing experience and at least 5 years of experience as a Test Lead in a product based company using several of the skills and technologies mentioned below.
Functional Skills
Knowledge of Screening and Scanning technologies is a plus Exposure to Security Systems domain is a plusSpecific Knowledge and technical skills
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles, Testing Life Cycle and testing Concepts
- Experience with testing applications on Microsoft OS (Windows XP/7/8/10, Windows Server 2003 & above)
- Proficient in Manual testing, Test Automation and Performance testing
- Expertise on Test Automation tools like Selenium/ Katalon Studio / Test Complete is required
- Proficient in Java language as applied to test automation
- Experience in Usage of Test NG framework
- Ability to write basic SQL queries to interact with relational databases is required
- Experience with Agile software development methodology is required
- Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting X-Ray scanner systems and in using logic analyzer for debugging electronic logic circuits is highly desirable
- Knowledge on API Testing and Docker is a plus
- Experience with Performance Testing Tools such as LoadRunner is a plus
- Working knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel
