Senior Visual Designer
Key Responsibilities
- You are responsible for developing original concepts for product interfaces that impact product strategy at the conceptual and design phase. During user testing you may be relied up to generate alternative design prototypes.
- Responsible for the on time delivery of high quality detailed visual design specifications and style guides for individual and product families at [24]7 during design and development.
- Create visual systems that advance UX and corporate objectives and contribute to the fulfilment of the brand promise through the user experience . Your design solutions incorporate UX guidelines , business requirements and corporate goals.
- Ensure that your design specifications meet the strategic goals of the product team and that your products are deployed according to your design specs.
- Extensive technical knowledge as demonstrated in your ability to solve complex issues and supply technically viable work arounds when absolutely necessary.
- Excellent design communication and documentation skills as demonstrated in your ability to clearly and confidently present designs and their rationale to various stakeholders.
- Responsible for identifying and documenting emerging best practices within Visual Design and codifying new user interface design standards.

- Accountable for proactively communicating status and updates in the design process between product management , the Design Studio , and relevant stakeholders . During product review you represent and are accountable for the visual design of the product.
- Active participation during the product design cycle results in visually cohesive creative design systems that support and enhance the user experience.
- Your design efforts are guided by the principles of design standardization and modularity. You actively contribute to the development of new systems of customer service experience design that scale.
- Accountable for ensuring the successful execution of design from implementation to deployment , and will demonstrate the resourcefulness to resolve emerging issues.

Leadership
- Proactively identify and lead independent design initiatives that benefit the overall [24]7 user experience and advancement of visual design as a discipline.
- You may be asked to review the work of junior designers and mentor other designers new to [24]7. Your reputation and experience make you a valuable design resource your UX peers call on for guidance.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of the different organizations involved with product development and can talk to product teams about design standards as well as manage open design issues. You are the recognized lead for the visual design of projects throughout a product s development.
- Familiar with the business and product objectives of your business unit , and advance design in support of those objectives. You understand the involvement of other organizations in the business unit as they interrelate and contribute to product development process
Skills , Knowledge , Abilities
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in a design-related field , preferably in UI design , graphic design or communication design.
- You have extensive applied visual design knowledge and are a master of visual design principles. You have experience with user-centred design , information architecture and participating in usability and market research.
- Strong understanding of brand identity and are experienced in designing visual systems to support brand values. You understand your product s market and are acutely aware of the competition. You are adept at designing for domestic and international audiences.
- Extensive technical design knowledge of in a wide range of visual design disciplines. Your abilities span a broad range of design skills beyond core visual design technical areas including: Screen layout and composition; Typography; Colour theory; Visual Hierarchy , Web page construction; Mobile application design principles; Desktop application design concept and design development.
- At least a minimum of 5 years of experience.
