Job Description

Primary Job Duties:

Coordinate planning, administration, monitoring, tuning and performance optimization of SQL Server/Postgresql production databases, including optimization of stored procedures, triggers, tables, indices, and configuration settings.

Perform database creation, definition of physical and logical structures, documentation, definition of operational guidelines, and data protection.

Formulate and monitor database management policies, procedures, and standards, and propose as well as implement improvements to performance and reliability of database systems.

Work to identify and resolve poorly performing queries that require tuning and/or optimization, as well as, monitor open support tickets, determine trends, and identify areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

Should have 5-6 years of relevant experience, as well as a Bachelors degree.

Need to have 3-4 SQL Server Database experience, and be able to demonstrate that experience in order to be successful in this role.

Need to have 2-3 Postgresql Database experience, and be able to demonstrate that experience in order to be successful in this role.

Should have experience to work in Cloud environments. AWS Preferably. Must have a knowledge working with SSIS and SSRS.

Good to have ability to plan, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot high-availability techniques such as hot standby servers, clustering, database mirroring, and AlwaysOn.
