Senior Software Engineer Mainframe (PL1, DB2, IMS), Custody Services, Pune, INDIA
Role
This role is a Senior Mainframe Software Engineer within the banks Custody Services domain, which is part of Group Operations Solution. Custody Services applications are built on IBM Mainframe technologies (PL/1, IMS, DB2). Main aim of the role is to contribute in solution design, development to complex technical and business problems of Custody Services, build functional and technical knowledge on Custody Services applications in India.
Responsibilities
- To deliver Custody Services projects from India.
- Contribute in design, development, testing and support of changes affecting Custody Services applications.
- Ready to contribute in technical analysis and development tasks.
- Define, implement and control software code quality with development teams.
- Close collaboration with other roles (Requirements Engineer, ITO, Software Engineer, Project Manager, Tester, etc.) and teams in multiple international locations.
Qualify
University degree in information technology/computer science with 8+ years of experience in a similar role
Expert knowledge as developer in IBM mainframe technologies
Good hands on experience on PL/1, DB2, IMS, Control-M, UML, SQL
Good understanding of Java technologies will be an added advantage
Expert knowledge and practical experience in professional software development (High level and low level design, Coding and testing)
Ability to collaborate well with teams in multiple international locations
An ability to think strategically and offer practical solutions
Ability to work independently and well under pressure
Well-developed analytical skills with attention to detail
Very organized, good time management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
