Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Understanding the technical and commercial requirement of a project and preparing proposals.
• Participation in kick-off, pre-production and pre-inspection meetings (PIM) and testing of package units
• Involving Project meeting, Design review, 3D model reviews, P&ID Layout, reviewing of Technical delivery conditions of materials as per code and client spec
• Preparation of data sheet, material requisitions, equipment package documentation, data sheets, engineering specifications in line with project requirements and conformance to all Codes.
• Delivering support to the Project department during pre-bid stage by doing preliminary designs, GA drawings, reviewing technical offers and answering technical queries raised by clients.
• Delivering support to Production team for Fabrication, Part drawing, development drawings to start manufacturing.
• Technical support to Procurement team for negotiations with package vendors.
• Review and approving the vendor documentation, compilation of comments from other disciplines.
• Review and verification of related detail design engineering documents and engineering closure with Client.
• Participation in all project safety, design, P&ID, HAZOP and conducting 3D models reviews, Design reviews and assisting Designers in piping layout.
• Ensuring each Project is delivered on time in compliance with all Client specification

Desired Candidate Profile

• Design managers coordinate all of the design work required during project execution and successful completion of Project.
• To handle the entire Mechanical Design engineering activities and supporting team members for technical related issues and performing the overall planning and execution of design packages
• Continued multi-disciplinary (Process, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Structural, QA/QC, Technical Safety & HAZOP) coordination of packages.
• Project prioritization of design, assignment and management to designers.
• Lead with effective supervision an experienced design team towards greater creativity & organization goal.
• Encouraging and motivation of internal designer towards continued growth and leading the design solutions
• To communicate with Global Product Home / R&D centre for time to time upgradation equipment design and new product / equipment design and In-house manufacturing support
