Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst @ Wolters Kluwer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (30%)

• Analyze requirements (stories) along with the dev team & identify test scenarios
• Review the test plans and test cases to ensure compliance.
• Use of test management & other tools like Azure DevOps, TestRail, Jira, Json, Fiddler, XML, as applicable
• Identify, create test data or update existing tests scenarios
• Design, create, and execute high-quality reusable manual test cases.
• Exploratory and negative testing
• Keep abreast with new tools and technology

Planning and Coordination (50%)

• Coordinates and ensures work monitoring of his/her team and meet product delivery deadlines.
• Create User Stories for QA team in Jira.
• Ensures communication between the members of his/her team and other teams.
• Coordinates the training of new team members.
• Evaluates the work performed by members of the team to ensure it meets quality standards of the business.
• Collaborates with management to plan and elaborate the schedule and work methods.
• Collaborates with his/her manager and other supervisors to the planning of resource sharing of his/her team.
• Identifies risks related to projects handled by his/her team.
• Participates to meetings with the Canada team.

Management (20 %)

• Authorizes overtime requests and vacation leave, verifies and approves time sheets.
• Relays pertinent information to the members of his/her team.
• Participate in the recruiting process, performance appraisal and salary recommendation of his/her team. Follow up on the objectives of his/her employees.

Technical Experience

• Experience on product testing in Agile environment; should know the various stages of product release & QA support needed for deployment validation and testing in production.
• Experience implementing/applying rigorous QA processes.
• Experience in developing effective testing strategies.
• Experience with test management.
• Experience in diagnosing issues and share with stakeholders what isn t working correctly and why.
• Experience in analyzing automated system functional results.
• Ideal candidates already have at least 5+ years of experience in the software industry as a Senior QA Analyst and a previous experience as a team leader.

Experience

• 5 years of total experience in software testing, in a complex testing environment.
• Previous experience as a team leader.
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
• Ability to create SQL requests.
• Experience working with distributed teams on a different time zone.
