- B.E. / M. Tech/MCA
Software Skills:
- Minimum 14+ years software and embedded development as scrum master, project and program management experience in product-based company
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- We are looking for a Project Manager to be responsible for organizing programs and activities for our organization.
- You will be tasked with developing programs to support the organizations strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals.
- You will also be in charge of developing budgets and operating plans for programs and writing program funding proposals
- In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in both program management and team management. A Bachelors/Master s degree is required.
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
- Degree in Engineering / Master in Computer Applications
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Minimum 14+ years software and embedded development as scrum master, project and program management experience in product-based company required as below:
Essential Competencies:
- Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization using different project portfolio tools.
- Good at handling the Phase gate reviews with global stakeholders and BU Leaders.
- Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Creating and managing long-term goals.
- Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
- Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
- Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
- Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
- Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
- Analyzing program risks.
- Working on strategy with the marketing team.
- Closely work with global program managers, engineering teams and cross functional local & global teams
- Work with global and local PMO to identify /customize and apply project management processes, methodology and milestones
- Make recommendations regarding project prioritizations, scaling up or down, resource allocations, travels, capital investments etc.
- Work with peers locally as well as remotely to share & exchange best practices, assets /resources
- Proficiently work with Microsoft Project Plan and any other best project management tools
- Proficiently work with development methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile etc. and related project management tools such as IBM Doors, JIRA etc.
- Hands-on experience in implementing quality system such as CMMi or equivalent
Desirable Competencies:
- Proven experience in program management.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience managing a team.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including MS Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of project management.
- Experience with Six Sigma process and tools
- Exposure to process/product management tools such as DOORS, Rational Rhapsody, Windchill etc.
- Experience in executing passport /stage gate based development process
Other Competencies:
- Understanding of the entire system development process
- Strong English communication skills - oral and written
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
- Go getter, result-driven, and works independently with minimal supervision
