Job Description

1. Supervises complete functioning of nursing department.

2. Prepares policies and objectives of the nursing department in accordance with that of the hospital.

3. Plans and monitors overall progress of the nursing services.

4. Prepares annual statistics, projecting human resources.

5. Plans for promotions of different categories of Nursing Staff.

6. Devices and implements regular training programs for staff development.

7. Provides leadership to the nursing department and encourages nurses to become members of professional associations.

8. Initiates and co-ordinates teaching & research programs for the nursing department.

9. Helps in building image of the hospital, maintaining good public relationship.

10. To ensure quality assured nursing services in the hospital.

11. To ensure round the clock nursing services.

12. To attend all the official meetings involving nursing services.

13 To keep performance record of Nursing Staffs and recommendation for appraisal
