Reporting Line: Senior Consultant - Infrastructure Lead

9ine are a UK (London) based management consultancy supporting schools around the world with technology-related risk and compliance. We have clients in the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and USA. Core to our future growth is the development of a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform (9ine App) that will transform how organisations (schools and SMEs) manage their management of data privacy & protection, cybersecurity protection and IT systems management. We have a development team based in India (Pune), and over the coming years, we will begin to provide consultancy services for software development as well as continue to enhance our App for management consultancy services.
Role Description
The Azure Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and improving 9ines Microsoft Azure and DevOps environments. Working with the senior development team and the infrastructure team to ensure that both environments and code release are operating in a secure and reliable manner, and that appropriate service levels are maintained throughout the development lifecycle. The successful candidate must proactively assist the business on the growth and development of the environment(s) in line with best practice.
Previous Experience
The successful candidate must have two years of previous experience in managing, maintaining and developing both Azure and DevOps platforms. They must have a strong understanding of Azure products including DevOps, git and ARM templates.
Azure Responsibilities - 60%
Responsible for:
- Communication & collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to provide efficient and reliable web app solutions
- Maintaining infrastructure solutions to assist the development and infrastructure teams including app, connectivity and database services
- Management of user and permissions within the Azure environment
- Day-to-day management and troubleshooting of issues that arise within the Azure environment
- Monitoring and reporting across the Azure infrastructure environment
- Requirements analysis and task breakdown for new infrastructure deployments
- Utilise ARM templates where appropriate to implement infrastructure as code
- Maintaining and introducing new processes where required
DevOps Responsibilities - 30%
Responsible for:
- Collaboration with the development team to provide efficient and reliable CI/CD solutions
- Control and accountability of version management
- Provide timely analysis and resolution of issues reported by the team
- Provide technical support for releases and workshops to instruct on CI/CD
- Investigation and implementation of new CI/CD systems and features
- Management of roles and permissions across the DevOps organisation
- Reporting of all releases through company channels
Professional Development Responsibilities - 10%
Responsible for:
- Continuously making recommendations on areas of improvement or development
- Driving personal continued professional development in line with the business objectives
- Providing training and support to colleagues within the business

General Information
Salary
The remuneration package will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate. Salaries are paid by bank transfer on the 28th of the month or the Friday before.
