Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps) @ Corporate Stalwarts

Job Description

1. Maintain and improve systems health and reliability.
2. Create, configure and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services to support rapid development without compromising quality and security.
3. Evolve Release Engineering practices to maintain consistent environments and automated deployments: a) Continuous integration b) Tools for automated testing c) Continuous deployment (Blue-green and Canary)
4. Observability, capacity planning, system and service performance analysis, and tuning.
5. Responding to pages and alerts as needed to restore services.
6. Document and share knowledge about projects and products worked on.

• Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Understanding of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Exposure to docker container and orchestration tools like AWS ECS or Kubernetes.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Software/DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer.
• Solid Bash/Linux skills.
• Experience in at least one high-level language (like Python).
• Experience in troubleshooting errors and outages across the stack and identify root causes and solutions.
• Experience managing systems in a 24x7 production environment.
• Working knowledge of complex components, including firewalls, load balancers, CDNs, web and database servers.
• Experience in building, configuring and maintaining cloud resources. (AWS)
• Understanding of CI/CD systems
• Experience in Monitoring and Alerting tools (Datadog, Elastic Stack, etc.)
