Summary
The HRSG Manufacturing Operations Financial Analyst will provide strategic and financial support to the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Supply Chain operations for Changwon (Korea) manufacturing plant. Working together with Senior Manufacturing Operations Finance Staff Manager of Changwon plant, this person will develop and execute financial and manufacturing objectives and drive better HRSG project cost visibility as well as deliver on manufacturing finance excellences. Drive optimal performance ( cost, fulfillment, quality, cash) and profitability through the Supply Chain and Project execution. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Senior Manufacturing Operations Finance Staff Manager for supply chain financials
  • Support finance operations, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Lead process improvements and drive simplification projects within Asia HRSG Finance team
  • Lead project cost (EAC) tracking process ranging from engaging with project budget, internal PO, actual cost & EAC control to provide variance drivers of As Sold vs. EAC, working with cost owners (like Sourcing and Manufacturing functions) and OTR finance teams
  • Site/region strategy and execution of manufacturing finance activities, coordinating planning, P&L; pacing, cash pacing and closing activities. Own P&L; and balance sheet activities, including cost accounting, inventory controls, product fulfillment and COGS analysis, functional costs, Variable Cost Productivity (VCP)/ Base Cost Productivity (BCP), P&E;, etc.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined policy/parameters.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface for all internal customers. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications
  • This role requires basic experience in the Finance & Manufacturing Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Experience in Supply Chain Finance or in other Finance/Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) roles
  • Strong process improvement skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Project accounting experience
  • Experience with manufacturing operations and finance function
  • Strong accounting, analytical, problem-solving & communication skills, with hands-on attitude and attention to details
  • Be a strong team player, be flexible and open minded to accept new ideas/initiatives
  • Creative problem solver, passion for delivering on commitments
  • Willing to open for new challenges and job scope changes as per current GE businesses dynamic
  • Embraces new technology and simplification to drive productivity and speed
  • Boundary less; originates ideas which influence others to change

  • FMP and/or CAS graduates
