Senior Software Engineer @ Optum A UnitedHealth

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features

• Build re-usable code and libraries for future use

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science/Engineering/Science/Mathematics or any related field with around 10 years of experience in executing the Java projects

• Basic, structured, standard approach to work

• Technical experience in Java, J2EE, JSP, JSF, Angular JS and experience in Front-end development

• Strong experience in Core Java, Spring, JSF, and Hibernate/Spring Data JPA

• Experience in SOA based architecture, Web Services (Apache CXF/JAXWS/JAXRS/SOAP/REST)

• Experience in multiple application and web servers (JBoss/Tomcat/WebSphere)

• Experience in continuous integration (Jenkins/Sonar/Nexus/PMD)

• Experience in using profiler tools (JProfiler/JMeter)

• Hands-on experience of RDBMS like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL

• Good understanding of UML and design patterns

• Good understanding in Performance tuning

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience in health care industry
