Around 6+ years of experience in cloud migration practices and technologies with working knowledge of cloud platforms and the technologies that make them work (AWS, Azure, GCP). The Cloud Migration Architect will work with Business development team and deliver.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in clint call to understand scope, discover opportunities and presales activities, Lead the design, planning and implementation of complex IT infrastructure migration solutions
- Participate in architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large scale migrations to cloud
- Perform application portfolio analysis to identify candidate applications and workloads for migration and develop an optimal migration plan
- Verify technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements
- Identify workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration
- Develop test plan and test-cases to demonstrate application/database readiness post migration
- Work closely with internal teams to develop a migration plan and ensure business functionality and SLAs are met
- Consult for optimal design of server /database environments and propose recommendations to optimize performance
- Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems
- Partner with the sales team to design solutions for customers that drive cloud adoption
- Conduct technical sessions for internal teams, and customers
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong knowledge of cloud architectural patterns, guiding principles and methods for enterprise migrations.
- Worked in at least 2-4 enterprise cloud migration projects (from Assessment to Migration phase).
- Ability to reflect the findings, observations, ideas, methodology into presentable decks / diagrams.
- Understanding of various industry products /services / appliances for assessment, migration roadmaps.
- Strong knowledge of application and cloud design patterns (designs for failure, availability, scalability.
- Strong experience with providing costing and commercials on cloud for existing on-premise setup.
- Experience working with cloud platform migration services and tools.
- Experienced with large scale enterprise migrations (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft etc).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence client business and IT teams.
- At least one professional cloud architect certificate of any of the leading CSP.
