Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- 1 to 5 years of strong Software Testing experience for multi-tier Web based Software or Mobile (iOS/Android) applications, with some exposure to an Agile development environment;
- Ability to understand problems in Software, isolate as need and file a defect with clear / detailed instruction.
- POSITION SUMMARY: Software Test Engineers and Senior Software Test Engineers works alongside QA Leads, QA Delivery Managers, Product Managers and Software Developers;
- Job responsibilities include: Testing all aspects of the product/system like Function/Component, System, Performance, Regression and service Candidates with experience;
- Updating QA/Product manager regularly about the progress of testing activities and escalate issues immediately;
Desired Candidate Profile
- Ability to understand application functionality, prepare and execute test cases using a variety of tools including Excel, TestPad, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence etc.,) is a mandatory competency;
- Excellent academic and communication skills is a must;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience in Database testing using Oracle/MS SQL/MongoDB/PostgreSQL databases;
- Experience in XML configurations, data management and understanding of application environment like Windows Server, Ubuntu Linux Server etc. will be required;
- Good Understanding of Software Development Processes;
- Ability to understand object models defined in UML, ER diagrams, UI Design tools etc. will be desired;
- A good understanding of execution of automated test scripts, ability to analyze and report application defects, and ownership of defects through its life cycle is important;
- Experience in Enterprise scale Retail or Fashion domain applications will be a strong plus. Specific knowledge of PLM applications would be a significant advantage;
- Basic knowledge on Docker, Rancher, AWS, Unix/Linux (Unix Shell scripting), Web Services/Micro services testing;
- Knowledge on REST API QA using Swagger, Postman or related tools is added advantage;
- Ability to work against challenging release deadlines while preserving the highest quality of deliverable is a must;
- Flexibility in working hours for interactions with customers at various time zones would be a required attribute;
Note: We are hiring for both Software Test Engineer and Senior Software Test Engineer roles based on their skills and experience.
