Job Description
- Create complex data processing pipelines as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team
- Work on Hadoop platform with Amazon EMR, data ingestions, and full-stack development
- Create high-quality software through test driven development and peer reviews
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
- Work closely with product management and other stakeholders in an agile environment
- Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the health care industry
- Provide technical leadership to a team and/or organization, ensuring that all delivered solutions and architecture adhere to industry best-practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portability
- Design and develop software applications and application components in an agile environment
- Integrate and implement custom created applications with commercial and open source software
- Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/code reviews and developing automated test cases
- Work with geographically distributed teams, with ample opportunity to learn from and mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment
- Play a key role in the future of software products by working closely with product management and other stakeholders to aid solution development
- Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the health care industry
- Build and implement performant and scalable solutions by applying development best practice
- Ensure high quality solutions by implementing unit tests, driving continuous integration/validation, and supporting the creation and design of performance, load, and user acceptance tests
- Build methods and tools to automate development activities
Must Haves:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of relevant professional work experience
- 6+ years of experience coding with one or more JVM-based language (e.g. Java, Scala)
- 6+ years of application development experience in an agile environment using enterprise database environments (e.g. mysql, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Experience developing software in a commercial software product development environment
- Knowledge of multiple languages, alternative frameworks, and ability to learn new technologies as the need arises
- Experience leading large product integrations and performance enhancements
- Experience developing scalable and performant applications
- Experience with enterprise technologies and principles, such as SOA, REST, and enterprise messaging
- Software design experience using object-oriented patterns, SOLID, and similar development principles
- Demonstrated flexibility working across multiple software-related disciplines
- Familiarity with front-end development approaches and architectures

- Hands-on experience developing web applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Experience leading teams to deliver high-quality software products
- Experience in the healthcare domain
- Experience analyzing large volumes of data, enterprise data analytics, SSAS, dimensional modeling, etc
- Experience with enterprise application integration with mobile platforms
- Experience migrating enterprise web applications to cloud-hosted architectures
- Experience with System Integrations involving standards like HL7, EDI, SAP IDOC, XML, etc.
