Automotive Instrument Cluster Developer @ Quest Global

Job Description

• Analyze software requirements for completeness, correctness, conflicts with other feature requirements, and compatibility with other interfacing features and resolve conflicts with requirement owners.
• Perform software design using UML
• Develop embedded software for HMI/application software components for Instrument Clusterin alignment with functional safety standards.
• Perform in-vehicle and simulated validation and testing
• On-time completion of deliverables ensuring quality goals.

• Minimum 5-6 years experience in instrument cluster Software Development with C/C++
• Familiar with any of the HMI development tools like Kanzi, CGI Studio, Altia Design orEB GUIDE
• Familiar with any scripting language.
• Exposure to Linux, QNX, Linux, OSEK, FreeRTOS or similar systems.
• Experience in developing software in line to a defined software development process (e.g. ASPICE, CMMI, ISO26262 etc.).
• Experience with software design using UML 2.0 and relevant tools (Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody)
• Able to understand SW functional safety concept, SW safety mechanisms, SW safety requirements and functional safety plan defined for the project.
• Hands-on experience with communication protocols - CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet and Vector tools.
• Experience in strategies to meet performance targets for instrument cluster systems.
• Multi-threaded and multi-core programming
• Experience with common software configuration management tools / version control tools.
• Capability to work with embedded hardware i.e. for flashing, troubleshooting, etc.

• In-vehicle testing and troubleshooting experience
• Experience in 3D HMI screen development.
• Knowledgeable in latest automotive hardware and software architectures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
