Responsibilities
Job Summary:To head the ALM and FPA function within Finance Division for Societe Generale - India
Main Responsibilities:1. ALM, Treasury and Scarce Resource Management:. To manage the interest rate risk, FX risk and liquidity risk for the balance sheet under Group / ALCO guidance.
. To ensure efficient funding to support the evolution of the balance sheet while ensuring competitive cost of fund/value of funds to the asset and liability business lines. To manage wholesale liability pricing for the Bank. Ensure that the funds transfer pricing policy is aligned to the Business Plan of the Bank and catering to the changes in balance sheet and market conditions.
. Dynamically adjust the ALM strategy in order to cater to seasonal patterns, business cycles, interest rate cycles, funding mismatches and customer behavior.
. To ensure smooth functioning of the ALCO, steer ALCO support, provide value analysis on the balance sheet, NIM to enable informed and timely decision making.
. Responsible for complete oversight of all the ALM related Head Office and Regulatory reports such as SLS, IRS etc. and ratios such as LCR, Leverage, capital adequacy.
. To set up the local liquidity framework and policies including, when relevant, funding procedures, definition of metrics, stress tests and CFP.
. To support GTR in addressing the liquidity risk of the entity and setting up actions to cover it.
. To share with the local Treasury the responsibility for the respect of the local liquidity ratios by providing the relevant monitoring metrics to treasury and producing the official regulatory reports.
. Ensure timely and accurate capital monitoring and management: including investment risk/returns optimization, in close coordination with regional scarce resource guidelines
. Ownership and maintenance of related policies such as ALM policy, Funds Transfer Pricing Policy, Contingency Funding Plan, Stress Testing Policy etc.
. Stay alert and update on regulatory changes and their impacts on the businesses. Actively define and execute the yearly regulatory reporting testing
. Ensure the closure of all audit (internal audit, external audit, inspection, regulators) recommendation and completion of operational risk follow-up actions within the deadline
. To develop an ALM culture through the ALCO forum: understand the drivers of the balance sheet, RWA, funding needs, liquidity metrics, capital planning
2. FPA / PFS:. Leverage regional performance steering setup in the performance analysis including business evolution and cost optimization initiatives whilst presenting to local management regular performance analysis.
. Support Business Lines and Support Function to better monitor or optimize costs for SG Group
. In close coordination with regional teams, contribute proactively to the regular financial trajectory reviews of the entity to optimize either tax or capital planning
. Strongly leverage on the country dashboard and country performance analysis as golden sources for performance discussions with local management
. Ensure headcount and budget of Finance Team are respected locally and propose cost saving initiatives whenever appropriate
3. Transversal / General Management:. Ensure strong oversight on outsourced services, providing clear & regular feedback to vendors with an aim to continuously improve the process quality & efficienc.
. Leverage DTO, Data & Digital regional teams as the prime proxy for all change initiatives.
. Support project team by supplying advice and expertise, working around difficulties and steering the execution during the project phase.
. To contribute to ICAAP, RBS and other transversal topics.
. Actively involve in the Regional / Head Office driven initiatives.
. Focus on staff development and succession planning and internal mobility of the staffs, and enhance visibility / exposure of N-2. Promote the internal mobility to collectively reach the Asia region target.
. Keep the staffs engaged and motivated. Ensure a strong backup capacity exist in the team, to retain the knowledge and manage possible turnovers.
