Purpose of this Role:
The DevOps Engineer / Senior DevOps Engineer will be accountable for building, deploying, and maintaining functional systems for the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC). He/She will be responsible for the overall ownership of all the GNOC team's tools. The responsibilities include implementing integrations in open source tools as required by the business, deploying updates, fixes and providing overall technical support for the platform.
Required Education, Experience & Skill
- Bachelor Degree
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in the Linux Administration
- Certifications in Linux, Cloud Certificate would be an added advantage.
- Implementing integrations in open source tools as required by the business (Nagios, Thruk, Cacti, Prometheus, etc.)
- Proven expertise in Linux administration
- Basics script ability in Python, bash / Shell.
- Understanding of the Cloud - Google, Amazon, and Azure cloud technology.
- Basics knowledge of proxy server (squid).
- Basics knowledge DevOps Tools (Git, Docker, Ansible, SVN).
Job Responsibilities
- DevOps Engineer must have a deep understanding of various development tools and technologies. This is a hands-on technical role emphasizing building, deploying, and maintaining functional systems for the GNOC using open source tools such as Nagios, Thruk, Cacti, Prometheus, etc.
- Proven expertise in Linux administration
- Serve as a key and expert on DevOps practices
- Ensure continuous availability of various tools supporting GNOC.
- Implementing Automation to improve efficiency
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise systems
