Job Description
Job SummaryBatch Service is a data-driven company focused on data delivery. We deal with a huge amount of data everyday and make use of it in a wide variety of applications, including consumer-facing applications and data delivery services.
We are looking for a Senior ElasticSearch Admin/Engineer. The ideal candidate must have worked extensively with ElasticSearch in production.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design scalable and best practices oriented ElasticSearch clusters for a wide range of products.
Ensure high performance by actively monitoring slow queries and proposing optimizations to the originating clients.
Setup observability tooling for the clusters to enable visibility and detailed monitoring of the clusters.
Participate in designing solutions utilizing ElasticSearch with the development teams.
Skills and Qualifications
Expert at ElasticSearch Internals and EcoSystem.
Expert at designing scalable and efficient solutions with ElasticSearch.
Experience with managing ElasticSearch clusters on top of K8s.
Experience with monitoring ElasticSearch operations and performance optimization.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Fully Remote.
Flexible working hours but 2-3 hours of alignment with EST time zone is required to attend meetings with the team and managers.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may encounter light to moderate exertion in lifting, moving, or carrying lightweight supplies and equipment. Daily assignment involves application of manual skills requiring motor coordination and finger dexterity. E.g. typing, filing, machine operation etc. Position requires 90% sitting and/or standing time and 10% intermittent body movement such as walking, standing, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling and reaching. May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
