Job Description

VCF R&D team is driving innovative product to simplify deployment and management of applications in XaaS clouds for both enterprise and cloud service providers by building industry leading VMwares next generation Hyper Converged Infrastructure.

We are looking for a Strong Engineer with extensive experience developing enterprise grad software to join the VMware Cloud Foundation(VCF) R&D Group.

Responsibilities

Responsible for design and development of manageability software for Hyper-Converged solution spanning on-prem and off-prem infrastructure.

Develop modular software components & solutions in an agile fashion.

Work with top enterprise customers to address cutting edge user requirements and solve real world issues

Collaborate effectively in a fast paced environment across worldwide teams

Proactively identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies for execution

Provide leadership in software development methodologies, best practices and Hands on with POC development

Architect and design solutions using VMware, Partner and Open Source Technologies

Requirements

Skilled and experienced in developing enterprise grade cloud management software

Strong familiarity with TCP/IP, L2, L3, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, packet capture and analysis.

Strong understanding of infrastructure & virtualization technologies (compute, networking and storage)

Good working knowledge of Java, Spring and OOPs concepts in product based organizations

Good design and development experience in distributed, clustered and multi-threaded applications

Exposure to web technologies, git(other source controls), software/cloud product life cycle

Knowledge of Software engineering and Test automation methodologies

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Equivalent,

Minimum of 5+ Years of enterprise software development experience

Desired

Domain expertise on VMware cloud foundation and VMware products

Prior experience developing software using VMware technologies like vSphere platform

Expertise with Micro Services based architecture

Understanding of emerging Datacentre Infrastructure and software trends

Agile product development
